Michelle is inspired by the people involved with Passages Northwest and by their passion for helping girls explore and discover confidence in their abilities through outdoor experiences.

As a child growing up in Eastern Washington, Michelle was a bookworm who enjoyed tennis, soccer, swimming, skiing, and tooling around town on her roller skates. She is still a bookworm, and these days she gets her kicks from kayaking, paragliding, skiing, hiking, bellydancing, samba dancing, and tooling around town on anything with two or more wheels.

A professional money manager for 17 years, Michelle knows a thing or two about taking risks. (She'll fly off mountains, but she's never bought a lottery ticket.) Michelle earned her undergrad degree in economics from Whitman College, and she is Chief Investment Officer for Perkins Coie Capital Management, LLC.
